Vol.42 – Walmart variant

Volume 42 cover variant exclusive to Walmart stores. Released to celebrate the series’ ending in the US.

To celebrate the end of My Hero Academia, three variant covers were released, each featuring one of the main characters: Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki with each one being exclusive to a specific retailer:

• Vol.42 Izuku Midoriya – Barnes & Noble
• Vol.42 Katsuki Bakugo – Walmart
• Vol.42 Shoto Todoroki – Books-A-Million

Particularly noteworthy as it marks Walmart’s entry into the world of variant covers. This is, in fact, the first time the American retail giant has produced an exclusive edition of a manga.
