Vol.1 – variant

During Lucca Comics & Games2023, the italian publisher (Panini – Planet Manga) presented a lot of stuff related to the duo Ohba-Obata: the new edition of Bakuman, Death Note: Short Stories and the new manga Show-ha Shoten! 

On the occasion, they also premiered a new variant of Death Note volume 1. This is one of the first times I’ve seen a metallic effect with such a bad impact on the final product. Instead of enhancing the cover, it completely ruins it (check last picture).

After the festival it was available in all bookstores.
