Shinigami – Japan Expo variant

Cover variant released exclusively at Japan Expo 2008. It was given as a bonus to those who purchased Death Note volumes at the publisher’s booth.

It’s incredible how some of the rarest and expensive French variants have two things in common:

1. They are from Japan Expo festival
2. They recycle the artwork from a Japanese cover

Nothing wrong with the latter, especially when the recycled artwork is a masterpiece like this one; it’s just a pity that when other countries have their own “identity” when you think about their top variants, in France you have the paradox of “copies” rarer than the originals. Like the One Piece’s one…

Anyway, what else to say about this cover that I haven’t already said here? Just remember that the French version is much rarer
