Anime #1 – MangaYo variant

MangaYo announced a special Jujutsu Kaisen campaign to celebrate the 2nd season of anime’s airing on Crunchyroll.

Two anime covers were produced, and for a few days during summer 2023, whoever spent at least 50€ on MangaYo’s online store would receive one of the two variants randomly.  To have both you had to spend 100€.

We can discuss endlessly whether it’s right for a manga variant to have the graphics of the anime’s key visuals but this is not the appropriate place. Let me just say that they are both SENSATIONAL. That QR code is a crime against humanity though.

A year later, a MangaYo wholesale campaign lowered the prerequisite and gave the chance to have it directly with a cost of 29€ for one cover, or 50€ for both, causing a bit of a headache to resellers and some questions about what is truly limited and what is not, to consumers.
