Vol.1 – ShoKore variant

Volume 1 variant cover given as a bonus to those who purchased Detective Conan #1 during the Shogakukan festival.

Shogakukan Comic Collection (ShoKore in short) is an annual promotional campaign run by Shogakukan and held in many bookstores across Japan. For a limited time, customers who purchase eligible volumes receive a special bonus tied to the publisher’s manga. Over the years, these have included mini-volumes (such as in 2019), pouches, laminated cards, and other collectibles.

In 2019, alongside the general goods, there was also a special double promotion for Detective Conan: anyone who bought volume 1 in participating bookstores, received a cover variant featuring the commemorative illustration drawn by Gosho Aoyama for the 1,000th chapter, with ShoKore logo on the spine.
