Vol.61 – Coach&Four cover (200M copies)

Paper variant to celebrate the achievement of 200 million copies sold. Given as a bonus to those who purchased One Piece volume 61 during the campaign period at Coach&Four bookstores (コーチャンフォー).

But here comes the tricky part. different bookstores gave away the same cover with the same illustration as a bonus… or at least apparently. Yes, because in reality, the covers had minor, almost unnoticeable details that differentiated them from each other. Every normal person would say «they are the same!!» but since collectors are borderline maniacally rigorous, here’s the breakdown

5 versions of the cover were produced:

• V1: available at Ogaki, Imai and Kobunkan bookshops
• V2: available at Keibundo bookshops
• V3: available at Takeshima bookshops
• V4: available at Haruya bookshops
• V5: this one

Probably the rarest: the illustration is complete in its full length, and the bookstore’s logo appears at the bottom of the cover, remaining clearly visible even when wrapped around the volume.

So in the end, should you collect all the different versions and flex them around? I think it would be one of the most pointless efforts a collector can ever make, but if you’re crazy enough to do so, let me shake your hand and congratulate, you are truly on another level
