Animagic

AnimagiC is an annual german anime convention that has been held since 1999. Since 2017, it has taken place every summer in Mannheim, Germany, attracting between 20.000 and 30.000 visitors each year.  

While the main focus is on the anime industry, AnimagiC has expanded its scope over time. The three-day event features a wide range of programming related to Japanese pop culture, including film screenings, cosplay competitions, drawing workshops, concerts, video game areas, and Q&A panels with special guests.  

Guests of honor regularly include renowned figures from the world of anime and manga, such as directors, illustrators, artists from leading animation studios, and Japanese singers. 

Although publishing is not the central focus of the festival, special editions and exclusive variants of manga series have been showcased at various editions of the event.
