Vol.1 – Blind pack limited

Limited to 1.000 copies

Volume 1  “Limited” variant included in the Wind Breaker Blind Pack.

It was the 2nd iteration of this new way of pu(bli)shing a new series: the blind pack, which could include one of three different Volume 1 editions:

• the regular version
• the limited variant (1.000 copies)
• the ultra-limited variant (100 copies)

I’ll refrain from passing judgment, but I imagine the concept behind this experiment was to combine the experience of buying a manga with the thrill of “unpacking” typically associated with collectible card games.

FUN FACT: shortly after hitting the market, Italian fans discovered a trick to always get this variant. The limited edition of 1.000 copies was placed in the pack facing the opposite direction from the others, so all it took was feeling for the spine with your fingers to pick the right one every time. And that wasn’t the only “hiccup moment”…
