Gold – Angouleme cover

Variant cover with gold-metallic effects, obtainable exclusively at the Angoulême Festival 2025.

Makoto Yukimura was one of the main guests at the festival. For the occasion, an immersive exhibition titled Vinland Saga: A Quest for Identity was held, featuring a full-scale reconstruction of a Viking village and a display of numerous manga panels.

Among many activities, there was also an axe-throwing challenge at the publisher’s booth (Kurokawa). Participants could compete based on their skill, with the chance to win one of three exclusive Vinland Saga variant covers.

Obviously, the gold one is the rarest and most sought-after.

Be careful if you’re looking to get this cover on the secondary market; under the right lighting, the bronze variant can easily be mistaken for the gold one
