Vol.1 – Blind pack ultra limited

Limited to 100 copies.

Volume 1  “Ultra Limited” variant included in the Thunder 3 Blind Pack.

Fourth iteration of the Manga Blind Pack in Italy… unfortunately ended in a tragicomic mess.

In short, inside the blind pack you could find…

• the regular version
• the limited variant (1.000 copies)
• the ultra-limited variant (100 copies)

This time, though, something felt off right from the start. As various content creators began posting their unboxing videos, a pattern emerged: way too many of them were pulling the variant supposedly limited to just 100 copies. An insane stroke of luck.

Suspicions started to rise, and a few days later the publisher released an official statement: the print runs inside the blind packs had been swapped. The “100-copy” variant was actually the 1.000-copy one, and vice versa.

Embarrassing enough on its own – and promptly mocked across the entire internet – the real issue ran deeper.

For initiatives like this, built entirely on the rare drop, on numbers, on the allure of the “limited item”, getting the single most important detail wrong erodes the trust between you and your customers.

It’s no coincidence that after Thunder 3, the Manga Blind Packs disappeared from circulation.
