Young Animal n.18, September 2009 featured a special article commemorating the publication of the 99th chapter of Detroit Metal City and its road for chapter #100.

For the occasion, a variant pack was given as a bonus to those who purchased the magazine at the Circle K Sunkus convenience stores.

Exaggerated and excessive like the whole series, this cover variant is one of the holy grails for most knowledgeable collectors. DMC is and will always be a niche manga, but it has established itself in the collector’s world as the one series that everyone wants to collect but nobody has ever read.

Recommended for posers or true fans… there is no middle ground.
