Welcome to the world’s first global database of manga variant covers.
The mission? Bold but simple: to catalog every manga (and manga-adjacent) variant ever released, and to do it with flair. This site isn’t some dusty old encyclopedia, it’s a space that tell stories, highlight curiosities, and uncover the wild, often hidden history behind these covers.

Sure, there’s the collector’s angle – value, rarity, hype – but trust me, behind some of these variants lie incredible stories that deserve the spotlight. For far too long, info about manga variants has been hoarded in private groups; sometimes incomplete, sometimes just flat-out wrong, and often twisted by those more interested in making quick profit than preserving knowledge. It’s time for a change. This is a world too fascinating to stay locked away in closed circles.

Is the mission impossible? Maybe. But no one’s seriously tried… until now.
We’re still miles away from our final goal, but as of today, Mangavariant.com is hands down the most complete resource you’ll find on the internet. And just so you know: I’ve personally uploaded over 2.000 variants, one by one (with another 1.000 in the backlog), and written enough text to rival The Lord of the Rings. If I did it alone…well the world’s a big place, don’t you think?

Now, let me say the most important thing:
I’ve just laid the foundation. I’m the site’s current “curator,” but think of me as the guy paying the bills to keep this whole thing running. This project won’t survive, or grow, without your help. So if you’re reading this: sign up, look around, and explore what’s already here.

I’ve double-checked everything with sources, usually two or three times per variant, but hey, I’m only human. That’s what the comment section is for.

Be patient if things still feel a bit “rough around the edges“. Everything you see here was built by one person – me – purely out of passion, over nearly a year of late nights and long days.

The database is just the beginning. If the interest is there (and I hope it is), the idea is to evolve this into something much bigger, a place where collectors, fans, and curious newcomers from all over the world can connect, trade, geek out, and build something amazing together.

Pretty much everything on the variant page is clickable, except the publisher. Don’t skip the “WHERE” button! That’s where you’ll find info on obscure French bookstores, Japanese magazines or Vietnamese festivals you’ve probably never heard of.

Want to find all variants from a specific series and a specific country? Type in the search bar: [Manga name] + [Publisher]

For example:
“Jujutsu Kaisen Shueisha” = all Japanese variants
“Jujutsu Kaisen Ki-oon” = all French variants

“Jujutsu Kaisen Kim Dong” = all Vietnamese variants

“Jujutsu Kaisen Planet Manga” = all Italian and Brazilian variants (since the publisher is the same)
…and so on.

The Variant section is a playground for curious minds. Go wild with the filters.

Just a quick note: to avoid clutter, theWHERE filter section only displays locations/events/festivals/magazines that have 5 or more variants listed. So don’t be surprised if you come across a WHERE in your searches that doesn’t show up in the filter menu, it just means that doesn’t (yet) have 5 variants in the database
