Il Salvatore nell’Arena – Lucca variant

Volume 1 cover variant (of the “extreme edition”) released exclusively at Lucca Comics & Games 2025 to celebrate Tetsuo Hara’s attendance and the special exhibition dedicated to him.

At the heart of the exhibition stands “Il Salvatore nell’Arena” (yes, the title is proudly in Italian), a 70×60 cm oil painting that Tetsuo Hara made specifically for Italy. The piece fuses the epic power of Kenshiro with the grandeur of Italian figurative tradition. The hero of Hokuto towers above a classical amphitheater, bathed in celestial light, as he raises the helmet of his defeated foe.

It’s a symbolic image, rich in historical and artistic echoes, bridging the world of manga with Renaissance and Baroque aesthetics.

The same artwork was used for a special variant created just for the occasion. The paper quality of the dust jacket might not be top-tier, but the sheer aura of this edition completely wipes out any flaw.
